2023. Disposable vapes contain pretty decent rechargeable lithium ion batteries. The fact that these devices are disposable is a disgrace – you should not buy them and they should be illegal. But that’s not the world we live in so what can you do with this abundant free resource? I taught a series of workshops teaching folks how to re-use the batteries from these devices to power personal electronics projects. Around my home I have several devices powered by disposable vape batteries including my beard trimmer and nighttime visibility lights.
